District contest – no luck this time

At the District Conference and Contests at the Bridge Inn, Walshford, on Sunday 13th March Chris Clissitt could only manage 2nd in the Topics.

Congratulations to Denise Adlard of Bradford SC who won both the Topics and Evaluation contests and will have a busy time in Aberdeen at the end of April!

And some good news for Vale of York Area – Ramana Sundara deservedly won the speech contest with a highly amusing speech entitled “Lawn Enforcement”. This is the 12th consecutive year that Vale of York have claimed the speech trophy. We wish Ramana the very best of luck in Aberdeen.
