Voice workshop – or six sleek swans swam swiftly southwards…

Saturday, October 18th, 2014

The club meeting on 9th October was a voice training workshop expertly delivered by Jan Millar. Participation was a must – all present took part in breathing and relaxation exercises, got their tongues round tricky tongue twisters,  read aloud with feeling and portrayed  moods in their topics.

The evening was fun, educational and a chance to practise skills essential to effective public speaking. Thanks and well done to Jan for such an enjoyable and beneficial session.

Eleven benevolent elephants ….Voice training session 9th October

Saturday, October 4th, 2014

Our next meeting  takes the form of a voice training seminar hosted by Jan Millar.

Pitch, pace, pause, power, practice, practice, practice…..

These 7 ps featured in Jan’s last voice workshop for Wetherby Speakers Club in October 2007, as did the tongue twister in the title. This workshop is a must – what could be more important for any speaker than the voice?

Do come along – you are guaranteed to learn something!

No need to light a night light on a light night like tonight…..
