At the Eastern Regional contests in Bramhope on Saturday 8th March Neil Wilson took home the evaluation trophy while Chris Clissitt won the topics contest. Both will represent Eastern Region at the national contests in Warrington at the end of April. Joe James of Newcastle SC was runner up in the evaluation contest while Jonathan Millar of Halifax & Huddersfield took silver in the topics.
Joe James of Newcastle SC won the speech contest with “Silence is Golden” with Torin Zieboll of York SC was second with ““The Importance of Inconvenience”.
The chief judge was Michael Cox, the ASC national secretary, assisted by Niki Boersma and Denise Adlard.
