Chris Clissitt retained the club speech trophy on Thursday 2nd November with a speech entitled “The Idle Brume.”

Niki Boersma was runner up with “Reliant Robin” and Rachel Kato was 3rd with “Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.” The judge was Peter Wilson.
Chris and Niki will represent the club at the Vale of York Area Speech Contest on 4th February 2018 in York
